I saw how much my son liked going to CrossFit Wando and he said that I should give it a try. At first, I thought I was too old but once I got a few classes under my belt, it felt really good to be working out in a group again. The coaches/instructors at CrossFit Wando are great at helping me out with a lot of the movements to ensure I am using the correct form and technique. Everyone wants you to succeed in there! It does not matter what your experience or skill level is. You’ll never know if you’ll like it unless you try!

When I first started at CrossFit Wando, part of my idea was to consciously NOT come to network or socialize, but to just TURN OFF and WORK OUT in solitude…BUT… more often than not, the friendly, awesome PEOPLE at this gym force me to interact and socialize, and THAT is what it’s ALL ABOUT. The community that Dan and Sylvia have created by finding such awesome coaches and leaders, that then attracts other great people, makes this gym SPECIAL in a way that I do not think exists anywhere else!

I heard about CrossFit Wando through friends who I knew from another CrossFit gym, and I am so happy that I did. I love the community that Dan and Sylvia have built, and I am so thankful for the coaches. My crazy life results in issues like twisting my ankle by tripping over a dog toy :), and the team at CFW helped me tailor things so I could still get a good workout! I know that no matter how tired I am from lack of sleep, how pressured I may feel due to work deadlines, or how crazed I may feel from raising 2 energetic boys — that I will leave the gym feeling better, more empowered, and generally just happier. My family thanks you too 🙂

I started my fitness journey by walking and the long walks led me to feel ready to join a class at CFW last summer with my partner’s encouragement. I didn’t know it at the time, but I came to the gym to heal, and found that community and movement really helped. One of my first classes was the Murph workout. It was inspiring to see everyone in action and knowing it was just the beginning for me!
